awesome rgb lighting and brilliant performance on par with much more expensive fans.
These days, computer fans aren’t just for moving air in or out of a case. They also have the mission of giving your gaming or work machine a different look in your day-to-day life. InWin is not behind the competition when it comes to releasing the RGB LED fans be it for any segment of the market. Their premium Neptune DN PRO fans are aimed at the enthusiasts while they did not forget the budget segment who would love to get their hands on the aesthetically pleasing looks and performance coming from the fans. They have sent us their Neptune AN140/AN120 (3-fans pack) for the review, but they are sold individually as well. All models are 25mm thick and boast a ring around the blades’ edge for improved rigidity at high speeds. Currently, these fans seem to be only available in black, with transparent blades for the RGB models. Read on if you are a fan of fans.
A PC case is typically just a nice box for you to put all your parts in, with a few standardized mounting brackets, sufficient air ingress and egress for cooling, and maybe a USB port or two. But this year manufacturers seem to be stepping up their innovation, if only because PC-building customers are desperate for something new. The latest example is the POC from InWin, a Mini-ITX case that you literally assemble yourself by folding sheets of steel. InWin is encouraging creativity and dexterity skills for PC builders of all ages with their iBuildiShare series of cases. The InWin POC was able to win us over from the start.
It is always interesting to see cases from InWin that don’t have your standard design and the A5 is one of them. Because of the different internal design this is actually one of the smallest cases out there that will support not only an E-ATX motherboard, but a full-size power supply.
Today, your PCs are relatively uniform and illuminated metal boxes that don’t drastically differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Even though many manufacturers continue to try new things, they eventually bring up controversial cases. One of those manufacturers is InWin, who released some new cases during the meeting CES 2023, whose requirements differ from a child to a fanatic who loves the internet to space fetishists. Its aim is to encourage the development of hands-on skills to build not just the computer inside, but the case too!
Cooling is all about the airflow, and one tiny advantage that smaller cases sometimes have is that there can be fewer places to hide a hot spot. To put this simply, a case that’s only three fans deep should perform similarly to one that’s four fans deep if both top panels are filled front to back with fans. But what about a case that’s more than two and less than three fans deep?
The InWin A series includes A1 Prime, A3, and A5 chassis. With such planning, this series covers ITX, mATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards to meet the needs of different consumer groups. Following the minimalistic, modern design traits of the popular InWin A1 Series, the new A3 and A5 provide new opportunities for PC builders to maximize support for larger hardware while retaining the smallest footprints. Offered are both cases in a black color scheme. They are made of aluminum and ABS plastic and feature a Tempered Glass side panel. Visually, both PC cases go for a subtle, minimalist look.
